Meeting Summary

The team met on the 28th March 2022 at F214A to discuss the final submission requirements of the project as well as to conclude the project with a sharing session amongst members.

With the upcoming final presentation looming, the team has since completed their first draft of the presentation deck. As such, the team proceeded to present the deck to the project supervisor for reference and feedback.

Below are the feedback:

Introduction (walter) :

  • Add URA in the beginning (in collaboration with URA)

  • Project statement state that is given by URA

  • “Problems identified” think of a different word

  • Give a idea of the overall methodology, after the problem or in the opening (to give people the big picture)

  • KPI is decided by us and URA so can mention

  • KPI to add the instagram and tiktok numbers (refer to pitch slides)

  • “Our client stella also mentioned that she would like us to learn from this experience ” (keep it for the end)

Activities/tiktok (Hyorim) :

  • When opening the tiktok, need to see the link between the activities and project objectives

  • Realign with the market survey when we explain the approach for tiktok

  • Challenges to be afterwards

  • Talk about the sustainability of tiktok (marcomms)

  • Combine feedback with something else

Instagram (Mandel / Shalyn) :

  • One slide to introduce strategies

Other comments :

  • Have an overall approach for the different social media platform

  • “I would like to pass my time … ” (NO)

  • Look out for unnecessary slides (like the section headers, unless we have something to say on that)

  • Have social media handlers in the slides for audience (where should we have it? If is at the beginning, will audience be distracted from the presentation?)

  • At the end do a reminder of all your KPI

  • Include research in your slides so when questioned, it does not seem like you made it up but you actually did research

  • The instagram live (do we want to put it as an learning point instead?)

Moving on to the next agenda, prior to this meeting, the team have had a post action review amongst themselves, without the presence of the project supervisor, Sunitha. This has allowed the team to come to terms with each member's shortcomings in the project as well as provided members with closure for the work they have done.

As such, the post action review with Sunitha, was prompt. Members were asked by Sunitha their thoughts on the project, revolving around "what could've been done better" & "thing that worked the most".

Consensus was rather clear, whereby members generally agreed that despite the constant lack of communication between members (often leading to miscommunications), there was a sense of camaraderie, with members still staying on throughout the project and being present at the most critical of moments. With the progression of the project, members were also agreeable on being accommodating with one another.

Reflection

In hindsight, the project is seen as a success from the team's perspective. The team definitely would've hoped for better results, but it is agreed upon that the project has allowed the team to gain a valuable lesson learnt, that as Arts Managers, the team still has some way to go, and that this is only the beginning of our journey.
