Meeting Summary
Team update Project Supervisor, Sunitha on the pitch slides and get feedbacks from her. To aid in organization, the feedback was separated into different segments.
Problem Statement:
The problem statement should be more specific and the term "foot traffic" should be included. It is not necessary to say "we have identified", simply state the issue and what the team intends to do about it.
Key goals and objectives:
The team had to find out why people are gathering using the research as one of the outputs to answer. The team had to understand the behavioral pattern that influences these people and in turn, rethink the objective of the project.
Project vision and expected outcomes:
Growth in audience reach should include the target as the team had included the numbers. Advice to make more strategic moves through social media analytics, another method would be to look at comparable Instagram accounts to decide and set the team’s target to hit. The client might ask where the numbers are from, would be good to know them.
The team should be specific in listing down the media outlets that they hope to have and not overpromise the client on them. One suggestion of framing the sentence would be “To achieve at least two writeups”.
Research brief:
The brief is still unclear, and there is a need to be specific in our goals and outcomes. Questions on what is the purpose of showing this and the team should include a methodology slide instead, as it will better show what this project is about.

Social media plans:
The facts should always be verified to ensure that they are right before posting. The team should be careful not to use words according to “best, oldest” because nobody knows.
Campaign:
The team could tap on Malay Heritage to generate more stories for participants and could also try to make the stories heading more creative. One suggestion would be “how to get to Kampong Glam from woodlands?”
Overall:
In general, the concept is good. However, as compared to the lifestyle part of the project, the history, and cultural component is weaker. The team should think about giving the actual content, which is history and culture, a little more thought. The team could even suggest a couple of alternative approaches to how they would generate and research the material.
The storytelling aspect is also lacking; as a result, the team should rely on what is already accessible in Kampong Glam. One idea would be to approach local art companies to advertise things that they could not have done on their own.
Survey Findings:
Some of the issues, particularly the ones about overcrowding and affordability, are addressable; nevertheless, for the inconvenient location problem, the team could create content on "how to get there." for the general public. Another method to incorporate the things you can do in Kampong Glam is to follow up with a combination about "How you can do this and that." This information could be presented in the form of a narrative. It's crucial to understand what the team wants people to know about the project Rediscover Kampong Glam.
Pitch Preparation:
The team should begin planning what they will say during the pitch and prepare a summary of the major results. Because data piques people's curiosity, presenting the research and analysis first would be a better way to justify the ideas. The team would also need to know all of the reasons why people were just not going to Kampong Glam and what they plan to do about it. The additional data might be in pdf format, making it accessible to everyone on Zoom.
With the feedback given, the team would continue to refine on our pitch slides so as to better articulate the project's purpose and outcome.
